KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN

Feature Film

During Argentina’s Dirty War, political rebel Valentín shares a prison cell with Molina, a window-dresser jailed for indecency. Molina’s vivid retellings of a Hollywood musical-centered on his idol, Ingrid Luna-offer them both escape from their grim reality.

Director Bill Condon (Gods and Monsters, Dreamgirls, The Twilight Saga) reimagines Kiss of the Spider Woman as a riveting blend of political drama and classic Hollywood musical, resurrecting the legacy of the 1985 Academy Award-winning film by Héctor Babenco and the 1993 Tony Award-winning stage musical by McNally, Kander & Ebb and led by Chita Rivera.

Jennifer Lopez dazzles as Luna/Aurora, Diego Luna embodies Valentín’s fervent idealism, and Tonatiuh imbues Molina with tender devotion and theatrical flair. The result is a grand yet deeply personal celebration of courage, connection, and the power of imagination.
