FEDERICO GARCIA LORCA’S BLOOD WEDDING

Full-Length Play, 2 hours and 10 min (including intermission).

An original translation of Federico Garcia Lorca’s classic tale of love, loss, and vengeance. Co-translated with Martin Murray and Laura Huron Collins.

Presented with Harpur College as a community outreach program for local at-risk youth in an attempt to foster positive peer relationships and break cycles of violence. The production featured original musical by Santino DeAngelo, Flamenco Choreography by Angelique Zuccolo, and a unique lobby installation, “El Salon”, by visual artist Sam Guy.

Independently produced by Santino DeAngelo in conjunction with a 2011 United Cultural Fund Project Grant from the Broome County Arts Council and a Harper Fellows Award from Binghamton University’s Harpur College of Arts and Sciences. 

Originally premiered at KNOW Theatre (Binghamton, NY) July 25, 2011.
